Who is guru. Can anybody be a guru or a person teaching you philosophy, spirituality, science or anything else can be called guru.
No, any person teaching you of this world or training your conscious mind cannot be a guru. Guru is not one who teaches your conscious mind but one who touches your subconscious mind and even unconscious mind. Who helps you to find yourself, not to find the world. Who helps you to meet your true self or God.
actually guru word is from Hindi and Sanskrit. No parallel word in English. In English word comes teacher that is who teaches. in English or western word knowledge is of external world so is philosophy so are the words. there in English education and knowledge is related to science, philosophy, and to body and mind that is anything which we can see, feel and touch not anything which we can't see or prove its existence.
so Atama Partama are not properly defined in English so is with Guru.
